What is Pokemon Go Community Day?
Pokemon Go Community Day is a monthly event in which a specific Pokemon species begins spawning in large numbers with a greatly enhanced Shiny rate.
Community Day events were first introduced in January 2018, with the first event featuring Pikachu.
During this event, special bonuses are put in place, and the evolution of the featured Pokemon during Community Day hours will allow said characters to learn an exclusive move that they cannot normally learn.
The event takes place on a Saturday or Sunday, usually for three hours, and is held once a month.
The time of the event varies depending on your location, so be sure to check the official Pokemon Go Community website or social media pages for the exact time.
During the event, you will notice an increased number of the featured Pokemon appearing in the wild.
You may also encounter a Shiny version of the featured Pokemon, which is a rare and highly sought-after variant.
Lures will last for three hours, and you will receive triple the amount of Stardust for catching Pokemon.
To take full advantage of the event, it is recommended that you stock up on Pokeballs and other items beforehand.
